What is the difference between computer science and computer programming?

I'm interested in a career in computers but I'm not sure where to start

What is the difference between computer science and computer programming?
As a computer science graduate. Computer science is the science of computers. That includes hardware and software. Software is computer programming. You will also learn what the hardware does. If you will Computer programming is a part of computer science.

Hope that helps.

Reply:Computer Science is a degree. And it focuses on a broad range of aspects but mostly theory based.

Computer Programming

AKA

Development

AKA

Systems Analyst

Is the actual developing of applications. Maybe a company wants you to customize or create a software application to do xyz. That's where a programmer comes in.

They gather requirements and custom develop or customize an existing application.
