i have a basic knowledge in java and need to learn programming for mobile phones (like nokia).
but i don't have an idea about where to start or where to look for free resources.
please suggest me a site or method i can obtain free learning material.

Reply:Sun makes a slimmed-down version of java called JavaME (for Micro Edition) and it requires you to be clever with code implementation. If you program with that API, save the .jar and email that .jar to your Nokia, it should run. The Nokia, I would think, is Java enabled.
For a good book, O'Reilly's Java2ME. And, I believe javaworld and O'Reilly have an intro chapter online to read.
Reply:first i would start off by getting java for dummies (trust me it helps) its only 10$ i believe, i started learning java when i was in 6 grade, and this is where i started, as for programs, try getting textwranger it is free, and just practice
