I've received a 2nd keyless entry fob that came from a junked vehicle. Can this be programmed by itself or must I program the original one I have together with the one from the junkyard?
What would be the keyless entry programming steps necessary for a 98 Ford Ranger remote?
Not sure on the exact steps but It is a bunch of cycling the key but just take it to the ford dealer, they have always programmed mine for free.
Reply:You need both keyfobs.... turn key in ignition from off to RUN not start.. and then back to off 8 times in 10 seconds ending in the run position... locks should cycle... press any button on the first fob then any button on the second fob...turn the key off...locks will cycle again to confirm.
