What programming language can submit information into a form on a website and send it?

I am making a program with actionscript 2 and zinc, and need to log in to a site with given username and password. The site's send button uses javascript if that makes any difference.

My program opens a browser instance so I was thinking Visual Basic might be able to fill in the form mechanically. Or is there some other way?

Javascript?PHP?ASP?

Also it must work with all (major) browsers.

Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.

Reply:PHP script are easy. You can even find them on the net. Just copy the script and use it for your site.
Reply:asp.net, javascript
Reply:I think all the programming languages can do this work, but the server side need some languages, such as php, jsp, asp and so on, to manipulate the form date. if you wan't to experience the web 2.0, you can use Ajax technology.
