What program should i learn if i want to learn web programming?

I want to learn web programming but i don't want to waste time on anything but the best.

What program should i learn if i want to learn web programming?
I understand your logic, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that. As someone who's loved programming since I was about 13, I can tell you, you'll learn slowly that the basics are essential. Learn some HTML first, as well as how to copy-paste code from other webpages (whether javascript or whatnot), and as far as HTML focus on Tables, that's key I've come to learn. Learn basic design elements. Some of the best web programmers that I've met use no program, they simply do the html code themselves.

As far as programs though, after understanding basic HTML, vetnure into (if you can afford them), Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash. Flash is the hardest to learn, but certainly has it's benefits and is very versatile. Fireworks/Dreamweaver combined make very fast and well designed websites, but first it's important to understand the HTML code behind it. Then venture into the more advanced programming languages, such as Javascript, PHP, ActionScript, and possibly Java, or Access/similar database programming (depending on what you want to be doing).

Definitely start with HTML, you don't have to learn it front and back, but get a good handle on it, and understand how to use Tables well. Then go from there.

Good luck! And I hope you enjoy the learning process, I know I have.

but if u r a patient begin with it

im not patient so i failed in it

so i learnd VB in a month

then i learnd C++ and Java

this is from my exp.

the same in web prog.
